On 30th July 2009, one of my friends came home, enquiring what had happened to me. This gave me the opportunity to speak about God for the first time in my life. I was unaware what that day was holding up for me. I started to talk the whole afternoon about God to him. At the end of our 4 hour conversation, my friend requested me to buy a Bible for him. I was taken aback!I was surprised how God could use a person like me for His ministry. He surprised my friend by answers, which I was able to find in the Bible, every time when I opened it. It gave me a lot of confidence in God. Everyone was happy at that time. My mom instructed me to pray.
On the same day evening at around 5:30, as I was praying I heard a voice calling me by name. I got frightened and went to my mother’s room to tell her that I heard a voice. She assured me and advised to say “Speak to me Lord, I am your servant”, if I heard the voice again. Of course I heard the voice again and I said “Speak to me Lord, I am your servant”.
Now the God started talking to me, he informed that he had heard my prayers and my quest in search of him. He started to talk like a friend to me. He kept on talking which gave me peace and happiness. I made a note of the conversation. From that day he continued to speak to me every day about so many things in my life.
On 2nd August, God told me that he will help me to clear my arrears. Though I was very happy, I had my own disbelief. Initially I thought this would happen in the next exam. However God told me to apply for revaluation. When I asked my mother for the revaluation fees, she declined, as she did not want me to waste the fees. I persevered to convince her and the next day the fee was paid. I was waiting in anxiety for the result.
On the 5th August 2009, God revealed to me one of his other servants Dr. Clington, who is an orthopaedic surgeon. I had no clue about him at that time. However God told me that, He was son of His heart, whom He loved much and detailed me about the mission He entrusted on him. I asked God where I could find him and he asked me to call my uncle.
I was surprised to know that Dr. Clington was a friend of my uncle; last time he spoke to him was 2 months before. I did not know what to do next. To my astonishment Dr. Clington called my uncle on the same night enquiring about me. Bemused by these events, the following day, my uncle called me not only to enquire but also to inform what had happened. He surprised me by saying that Dr.Clington would come to see me in the end of August 2009.
Jesus said “I will ask the Father and he will give you another counsellor to be with you forever, the Spirit of truth. I will not leave you as orphans”.
