Miraculous Healing – God’s Promise

How we faced this?
A few years before the Lord promised me to give a son, whom He asked me to name as Samuel, who will be pure and holy than me, will be filled in Holy Spirit and in His power. He further promised to lead my mission through him. I have shared this only with a few friends of mine.5 months before the birth of my son, the Lord asked me to pray a lot for him. He warned me that I would spend at least one lakh Indian rupees towards the delivery. Further to this, I obeyed the Lord’s words.
When I heard the bombshell broken on the 9th month, I was shattered in my heart and I couldn’t control my emotions that night in prayers, when I wept. Though I had strong faith in my Lord, I also started to rationalise events Biblically.
We all know St. Paul, who was chosen for evangelisation, who healed the sick, worked out wonders and performed miracles, had a sickness in him, as to God’s will. Despite him crying aloud, the Lord kept this thorn in him, as we find him saying in 2 Corinthians 12: 7,
“To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.
Some of my relatives were saying that the Lord will certainly do a miraculous healing. In reply I quoted the following Biblical incidents as a reminder;
a) God healing the son of the centurion by his word alone
b) Healing of the blind where he created mud from sand and His saliva, which he rubbed on that person’s eyes, before he gave him sight.
In a nutshell it is for God to decide if to heal my son with or without surgery, if at all he wanted to heal him completely. However I was confident whatever the Lord does, He will do it for good? We didn’t run behind any preachers, instead we took it on our own chin and decided to sit and pray to the Lord.
Interestingly even before this shock happened, we had printed the August magazine, which had the following verse on its front cover,
No medicine or ointment cured them. They were restored to health by your word, O Lord, the word which heals all humanity- Wisdom 16:12
